Old Home Day is inviting all Seniors of Londonderry to our 14th annual Wednesday, August 14th, Senior Night. All of our enlightened citizens should plan on attending this event. Because, Katherine Blash, Director at the Londonderry Senior Center is now running the event. The old fashion cook out of hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips and drinks is still planned under the Lion’s pavilion with maybe a few new menu items; this event has turned into a lively evening. The space is limited and Seniors need a ticket in order to attend. If you are planning on attending, get in touch with the Londonderry Senior Center to get your ticket. The event is provided to our seniors by the Old Home Day Committee and the generous donations of our sponsors.
Big News starting in 2019. In honor of the 300th Anniversary the committee is working with Londonderry’s Concerts on the Common Committee. In a joint decision between OHD and COTC the popular concert series will continue into the Old Home Day week. With this exciting announcement, we have teamed up to bring a outstanding band for the Wednesday night concert. This year the band that will be playing is Foreigners Journey.
Foreigners Journey brings together the incredible sounds of two of rocks greatest arena bands of the 80’s – Foreigner & Journey.
Experience the rock ballads Faithfully, Waiting For A Girl Like You & Open Arms, along with rock classics Cold As Ice, Urgent, Hot Blooded, Feels Like The First Time, Jukebox Hero, Separate Ways, Don’t Stop Believin’, Anyway You Want It … and so much more! All performed as the originals were, in their original key and pitch!
