Saturday Events

Enjoy a festive atmosphere on the Londonderry Common after the parade by enjoying the live music provided by the Hudson American Legion Band.  The band has been part of our annual event for over ten years and will again be the leading act at the 114th Old Home Day Celebration.  Along with the Hudson American Legion Band Dan Lekas of Flashback Entertainment will be featured on the bandstand providing music playing your favorite tunes and requests. Don’t forget your singing voice as Karaoke will be available..

The activities just continue to grow with this town wide event. Enjoy a tethered Hot Air Balloon ride sponsored by RE/MAX 1st Choice Realty all of the proceeds benefit Londonderry Dollars for Scholars. Orchard Christian Fellowship will host a continental breakfast before the road race. A baby changing station will be provided across from the common at the Methodist Church, and will host numerous activities throughout the day.  Demonstration by the Londonderry High Schools robotic team the PVC Pirates will be taking place all day.

With the success of the Londonderry Fair last year you’re going to love the 3rd annual Fair this year at Old Home Day.  Set in the historic Grange Hall, Londonderry residents can compete against their neighbors in 3 age groups (8 to 12, 13 to 18 and 18+) in 6 categories: Cakes, Cookies, Yarn Products, Oil/Acrylic/Watercolor Paintings, Pencil Drawings, Sewing and Photographs.  Registration information can be found on the web site complete with fair rules and specific requirements for each category.  Even if you are not going to enter, stop by the historic Grange on Saturday from Noon to 3pm and see all the talent that is around you, and also sample some of the award winning baked items.  Family Bingo was such a giant success that this has become a permanent addition to our Celebration. Held at the Lions Pavilion at 3:30 pm.
