Religion has been an important piece of Londonderry’s culture since the town was first incorporated in 1722. Today, churches of many different denominations dot the landscape all over Londonderry as families grow and learn more about their relationship to God. On Sunday please join the Londonderry Clergy Association for the Londonderry Community Church Service and Picnic from 11am-2pm on the Common, Sunday, August 17th! All are welcome. The service will begin at 11am followed by a picnic/concert starting at noon. The event is FREE – please bring your families and meet several of the churches in our community.
This event is sponsored by the Londonderry Clergy Association and the OHD Committee. This year participating churches include: Londonderry United Methodist Church, Orchard Christian Fellowship, Church of the King, Zion Christian Fellowship, Londonderry Christian Church, Londonderry Presbyterian & Journey Church of the Nazarene.
A unique and historic tradition in the Old Home Day Celebration. In years past, Old Home Day was celebrated Saturday and Sunday. This event has become a long standing part of our gathering. It is a time to celebrate our many faiths, give thanks for our families, our community and to live our lives to the fullest.
