Parade is on Saturday August 18

The Old Home Day Parade kicks off on the morning of Saturday, August 18, featuring the Londonderry Lancers Band. This don’t-miss event is a highlight of the OHD celebration.

Come early to get a good spot on the route from Mammoth Road! The parade starts at the Londonderry Middle School and proceeds south to Mack’s Apples. A shuttle bus is available.

The parade launch site is at the Middle School. You can drop off your child there, or at the designated meeting point for his/her group. Cindi Rice Conley wants to remind everyone:

There is no parking at the Middle School.

Each year thousands of people watch the parade, and then descend on the Common and the many eateries and nonprofit booths there.

  1. How do I know where to go?

This comes up every year, for some people this may be the first parade! Years ago we drew numbers on the ground and you needed to find your number. Now as you enter the normal entrance to the middle school ask for your number. For example Troop 426 may be 2-13. On the ground are white and Black markers, they look like little tents. Please try not to run over them! We have to make a new one if you do that.

    Thanks for Blogging Mary!
